Pier to Cove Swim in La Jolla, CA

My dad and I participated in the La Jolla Cove Swim Club's 1.5 Mile Pier to Cove swim this morning. We had a good swim with approximately 200 of our closest friends.
As it turns out, I won the Women's 25-29 Age Group and earned not just hardware (the medal pictured below), but also a gift card! This marks a new stage in my swimming career. After 23 years of competitive swimming, this is first time ever winning something of monetary value! I've taken home cups, mugs, shirts, shiny medals, trophies, caps--you name it--but never something with purchasing power.
