Pool or Ocean? You decide...

This week I have been swimming in La Jolla. The water temperature has ranged from 76-78 degrees. You may ask, have I adjusted my training regimen to include more pool time?

In fact, I've been swimming in the world's largest salt water pool between the La Jolla Cove and the Shores! The water temperature has been so far above the normal 68-72 degrees in early August that it just hit a 100-year high.

I'm in such shock at the tropical water temperatures off the San Diego coastline - that I'm taking ice baths to cool off and channel the temperature of the San Francisco Bay.
